Three days until the start of camp.
U50 (players with less than 50 NHL games), rookies, and vets skating around. The latter are still “unofficial”, so they are often skating at the same time as the youngsters.
Sharks usually make some cuts after the rookie games/scrimmages. Have not seen announcement (yet).
Martin Jones wearing his new pads. White with teal, very minor orange.
Paul Martin and Brent Burns paired up during scrimmage today and looked in synch and good working together.
KCBS had a reporter on site today; so there might be some upcoming segments on radio. Goldobin, Meier and Doremus were among those interviewed.
Nabby was working with Rumpel and Herbst this morning; there was a lilt in his stride, with a smile on his face, as he came off the ice. Looks like he’s really enjoying his new job.
Fans are starting to have their season tickets arrive. Sounds like a lot of memories and milestones are commemorated in the preseason and regular season and playoff tickets. One “surprise” is Sam Tageson (young goalie, honored with being able participate in morning skate and head out on the ice for introductions).
Finally getting around to listening to the YouTube live coverage from Saturday’s Fan Fest. Rusanowsky announced that ALL Sharks games (7 preseason and 82 regular season) will be on radio or streamed (on sjsharks.com). (If you don’t want to watch all two hours, highlights have been edited and available individually below.)
