And right back at it Sunday afternoon with the same opponents. Guessing Grosenick will get the start.

sigh.
Jon Martin, signed by the Sharks, has joined the Barracuda (ATO). Michael Brodinski should be signing with the Sharks (and signing an ATO to play with the Barracuda for the rest of the season; could debut against brother playing for Ontario). UPDATE: both players are with the Barracuda and scheduled make their pro debuts against the Gulls. Haley has been recalled by the Sharks.

Dell got the shut out. Goldobin the GWG.
And down to San Diego to face more birds.
Gulls won 5-1 over the Rampage Friday night.
Smith has been traded to Toronto; Dell has been recalled to NHL (to back up Jones with Reimer needing to get work visa in order). So, expecting Grosenick to start. (Morin should be reporting to the Barracuda; probably mid-week planned arrival Monday).

Matthew White signed as (emergency) backup goalie.
Gulls took the lead and the Barracuda just seemed to be attempting to catch up.
Next up: home game on Tuesday.
Cuda hit the road for three games, with lots of travel. First up: San Diego. They are top of the division.
It was announced that Raffi Torres was assigned to the AHL Barracuda on a conditioning stint after his suspension was over; he won’t be in the lineup Wednesday, but perhaps make his Cuda debut one of the games later on this road trip.

Barracuda score in OT to keep the point and win streak going.
Long haul down to San Diego for a single game; but the guys got to fly, not drive this time (actually cheaper than driving without stops in Bakersfield or Ontario). Will the pattern of the road team winning this series continue?
Ben Smith and Barclay Goodrow were recalled to the Sharks. Timmins is out (injured).

Barracuda opened scoring in 2nd, fell behind and managed to tie it up before the end of regulation. But Gulls win it.
Barracuda back at it on Sunday afternoon (hopefully against a tired Stockton team as their outdoor game was delayed a day).
Barracuda have had the week to practice. Mueller assigned; Carpenter recalled. Ben Smith assigned on conditioning stint with team. Goldobin is looking for consistency while playing in AHL.
With a win and some opponent losses, the Barracuda could be in a playoff position by the end of the weekend.
The Barracuda are collecting food, handing out scarfs for Saturday’s first game of the double header.
Gulls were shut out in Bakersfield Friday night. A proud team, they will be looking for some points on Saturday afternoon.

Dell started, but was pulled early in 1st after giving up 3 goals. Barracuda shut out 0-5.
Teams are back it on Saturday. The Barracuda would like to get another 2 points, while the Gulls would like to get two points (not one) after last night.
I’ll expect Dell to be in net for the ‘Cuda tonight with Grosenick playing last night.
Gulls lose a couple of players to NHL call ups (and replaced by a couple of guys), including (thorn in the side) Ritchie.

Barracuda sweep 2-game series in San Diego. Sweet. Great to see things “working” and clicking on the ice so that the team gets a win.
Game 2 (and 3) of road trip at San Diego. Team arrived in San Diego Thursday, and practiced, before Friday morning skate.
A few transactions: Arseneau and Steffes to ECHL Allen. Gallant (ECHL Utah) and Hanson (Allen), signed to PTOs; Doremus recalled from Allen.
Gulls are 9-2-0. Barracuda are 3-6-1. Barracuda are 0-2-1 against Gulls this season.

A bunch of missed calls, disallowed goals. The Barracuda came from behind to tie it up late in regulation, apparently scored in OT (but was waived off/not reviewed), thwarted a penalty shot, and successfully negotiated the shootout to win over the Gulls.
Six days off since their last game, and first home win, the Barracuda are hosting San Diego (again).
Saturday’s afternoon game is a double first: Teddy Bear toss and first Barracuda-Sharks double header (Sharks are playing the Gulls parent, the Anaheim Ducks).
Goodrow is in the AHL to work on his game. Karlsson is expected to play this weekend, hopefully on Saturday (and Sunday). Lerg, Haley and Goldobin are up in the NHL; Steffes has been signed to a PTO.
The Gulls lost to the Reign on Thursday.
Stollery returned to Barracuda; Cundari recalled.

Goodrow scored to send teddy bears flying to the ice (including 7′ huge one). And the AHL made a new rule (which shall be known as the Barclay Goodrow rule).
Grosenick had some awesome moves, including this one.
But the team gave up 3 goals and was only able to score two. Sigh.
(Reported that 20 NHL scouts were in the building for the game; game was early enough in the day that scouts could easily make it to Stockton for 7pm game. Gackle tweeted that all 5 AHL teams are playing in NorCal this weekend, so that might be one reason for the large #.)
