Training Camp D-minius-2 (150915)

Two days until Training Camp opens.

And Happy Birthday to Patrick Marleau!

Today’s U50/rookie schedule included a “closed” practice and an “open” scrimmage. (Only stayed for first half of scrimmage as I went to the captain’s skate to wish Marleau happy birthday which was at the same time.)

Kids were so excited to get the scrimmage started, it was about 5 minutes into the game before the coaches arrived and got behind the benches. (lol)

Approximate teams (if I could see their #s as they were racing up and down the ice):

Team White: Grosenick, Rumpel. Cundari, Fedrico, McNally, Mueller, Roy, Tennyson. Boudreau, Carpenter, Chartier, Crane, DiPaolo, Donskoi, Goldobin, Helewka, Parkes, Ratelle, Sadowy

Team Teal: Dell, Herbst. DeMelo, Pinkston, Ryan, Stollery, Vanier, Young. Arsenau, Emanuelson, Harper, Labanc. Langlois, Lerg, Meier, Schoenborn, Tierney.

Not playing/noted: Bergman, Doremus, Fitzgerald, Jevpalovs

Hearing that the NHL and AHL teams will have a “single” jersey numbering system. (So, if you’re Brian Lerg wearing #11 in AHL, if called up, that’ll be the same # for NHL jersey.) Great for fans in that they only have to learn one “set” of numbers. (Rather than having to cross reference jersey #s based on NHL or AHL.)

Season tickets have arrived. Every ticket has a different subject. Might be a shot of fans at a game. Or an alum, or even a current player in a jersey other than the current one. And yes, the current players get some love too.
