Last year, Brent Burns had his teammates shave his head and beard. He raised nearly $25,000 for two charities.
This year, Burns recruited a few of his teammates (Pavelski, Mueller, Goodrow, Tierney, Sheppard) and some professional stylists to shave their hair. Through Saturday night, more than $15,000 was raised (you can still donate for the rest of this week).
SF Zoo had a guest introduced to the fans in attendance (who preferred the warm, rather than the cold rink). Monies raised for the zoo will be used for special hammocks for the gorillas.
The fans were trying to get Brodie to grab a chair to join the cause. (Maybe next year.)
Lots of smiles and fun.

Sharks celebrated Hannan’s 1000th game before the puck drop. Nice ceremony. But, Hannan was knocked out of the game before the end of the first.
Sharks did not score first, and they got and held a lead in the third. Hertl broke his goalless drought, and Couture must have been inspired by the Giants to bat in the game winning goal from a bomb from the blueline.
