The Russians dominated in the first with three goals.

The Swiss team held the Russians off the scoreboard early in the 2nd after their teammate was knocked down and taken off the ice, but they were unsuccessful on the subsequent five minute power play. The Russians came back in the remaining portion of the second, and notched two more goals.

In the third, the Swiss pressured hard, but could not get past the Russian goalie, while the Russians added two more.

5 Sharks prospects at 2015 World Juniors

Mirco Mueller and Noah Rod (Switzerland), Julius Bergman  and injury replacement Frederik Bergvik (Sweden) and Nikolai Goldobin (Russia) will be playing at the IIHF 2015 World Junior Championships in Toronto and Montreal (December 26-January 5). Most of the games will be broadcast live on NHL Network US.

Russia is one of the pre-tournament favorites.

There are Android and IOS/Apple apps to follow the tournament.

Sharks are expecting Mueller to be a leader in his third WJC tournament.  Goldobin should provide some offensive flash for the Russians.  Bergman a steady presence.

Sharks GM Doug Wilson will be in attendance.
